We believe in that our body has natural healing power and every medical intervention has its own limitation.
So our goals of patient care are:
to use most effective tools along the course of healing proccess,
to set the clear therapeutic goal based on our therapeutic limitation and patient's safty, and
to communicate with patients in timely manner to avoid confusion.
We practice acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) and Koryo Hand Therapy (KHT).
Acupuncture and CHM have several thousan year history and
began during ancient people's struggles against nature.
Acupuncture and CHM theories come mainly from practice and have been continually enriched and expanded through practice.
The theory of Koryo Hand Therapy was first originated, studied and developed by
the Korean acupuncturist, Dr. Tae Woo Yoo between 1971 and 1975.
Since that time Koryo Hand Therapy has spread to the public worldwide.
According to the theory of KHT, there are 14 micro-meridians and
345 acupuncture points on our hands which regulate the internal organs of human body.
The function of the human body can be manipulated by stimulating the corresponding points
on our hands. These acupuncture points are stimulated by using tiny hand needles,
press-pellets, or other KHT therapies.
All these theories and therapies are based on two characteristics of East Asian Medicine:
the holistic concept -
"The human body is a unit." and "The human body and nature are a unit."
Bian Zheng Shi Zhi - the diagnosis and treatment are based on an overall analysis of
signs and symptoms.
So the same diseases can be treated by different methods.
Or different diseases can be treated by the same method.
These are the basis of our practice being natural health care with an emphasis on treating
the whole person.
